Here’s a bill you never agreed to pay. In 2025, the typical American driver lost 49 hours stuck in traffic. That’s more than a full work week — gone. Spent staring at the bumper in front of you. And it wasn’t free. According to INRIX’s 2025 Global Traffic Scorecard, those lost hours cost the average driver $894. Nationwide, congestion drained about $85.8 billion out of the economy last year.
